Windows - Are the backdrop for any fabulous space. Today’s Market provides many incredible options, and upgrades. Such as interior colours like black (my personal favorite) or taupe which helps to frame any view. Remember Gorgeous key elements require less treatment. You will never want to cover a window which acts as artwork!
Lighting – There is no such thing as “enough” natural or ambient lighting in my opinion. I find that if people add large windows to a room they tend to skimp on artificial lighting. Nothing makes a room sing more than a fabulous fixture, especially one that looks this incredible and glows like the Moon.
Something Special – Every space benefits from an element that acts as a conversation piece. A sentimental item, or perhaps a piece of artwork that peaks the curiosity and begs to tell a story.
A Correctly Proportioned Area Rug – Notice I said proportioned. Nothing in my opinion can kill a fabulous space faster than a gorgeous rug that is the size of a postage stamp. Sale or no sale, it is not a great buy if it doesn’t work.
Quality Upholstery - When furnishing a room make sure the upholstered pieces are the best quality you can afford. Tailored pieces with straight piping, good quality foam, smoothly applied fabrics and plump well stuffed pillow backs are signs of skillfully upholstered pieces. Remember that the comfort and durability of your upholstered pieces is determined by the skill and craftsmanship of your upholsterer.
The Pretties - Accessories are the jewelry for your home. It is the final layer that adds that last bit of sparkle and glamour to any space.
